    Hi Bill,

    During account creation, usernames are locked for 10 minutes while awaiting confirmation. This may be what you have experienced. Please try to register again for the username you initially selected, as it may be available now.

    I tried this particular username several times in case there was a lock-out period. I guess it's possible someone got it, but I had the feeling that my particular issue with a corporate proxy might have hung up the process. I couldn't finalize the signup process, but I was able to get to the final step (just not complete it).
